  • Conflicts and misunderstandings stemming from a lack of empathy and awareness 

  • Difficulty aligning strengths with roles, impacting performance and morale

The True Colors Training helps participants: 

  • Identify their personality style and understand how it affects their role and interactions. 

  • Recognize and leverage each other’s strengths to enhance teamwork and efficiency. 

  • Build empathy and resolve conflicts by understanding diverse perspectives. 

  • Align strengths with tasks and responsibilities, empowering leaders to build effective teams. 

The Solution

Objective: This training introduces the True Colors personality framework to both retail associates and leadership teams, providing insights into individual strengths and communication styles. By encouraging self-awareness and empathy, the training enables participants to appreciate diverse perspectives, resolve conflicts, and build more cohesive and effective teams.

Designed role-based scenarios and activities to help participants apply personality insights in their daily work.

 

Developed visual infographics to simplify the archetypes and align them with retail tasks in each zone.

Challenges & Learnings

  • Initial hesitation: Some participants struggled to see how personality insights related to retail tasks. This was resolved by integrating more practical examples into the training materials. 

  • Tailoring content: Adjusting the activities for both associates and leadership required balancing simplicity with depth. 

  • Engagement through design: Pivoted to use graphic overlays and clickable elements to make the eLearning component more interactive and user-friendly. 

Impact & Results

  • Improved communication across all levels, with fewer misunderstandings between team members. 

  • Higher engagement and teamwork, as associates and managers learned to leverage each other’s strengths. 

  • Enhanced customer service through better collaboration and empathy. 

  • Positive feedback from participants, highlighting how the training improved team dynamics and alignment with roles.

Each colors page was designed to inspire,  be fun, drive team engagement, and bring people together. The design was meant to make each page feel unique and personalized based on their architypes personality.

Blue (Relationship-Focused): Empathetic, intuitive, and values connection.

Green (Analytical): Logical, curious, and motivated by problem-solving. 

​

Gold (Organized): Dependable, detail-oriented, and focused on execution. 

​

Orange (Energetic): Bold, persuasive, and thrives on motivating others.
